Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in Washington, D.C. This role involves performing ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease states. The position requires maintaining accurate records, executing equipment quality control, and reporting deficiencies. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in ultrasound imaging and uphold regulatory standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent, Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology, current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Ultrasound Tech license, minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasonographer, resident within 50 miles of the work location
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Healthcare, experience as a Lead Ultrasonographer
- Additional Information: Performs health care services utilizing ultrasound to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease states. Conducts ultrasound procedures, produces images for interpretation by the Radiologist, maintains appropriate records as required by regulatory and accreditation agencies, performs equipment quality control procedures, and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
