Job Summary:
Dietitian position in Bakersfield, California. The role involves providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients with special needs or those meeting nutritional risk criteria. The position requires patient assessment, education, interdisciplinary communication, and documentation of interventions, ensuring quality clinical care in accordance with policy and practice standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent, Masters Degree (required if eligibility for examination began on or after 01/01/2024), at least 2 years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian, dietetic internship or its equivalent, and registration as a Dietitian (RD) within 6 months of residency completion.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: Performs patient assessments to determine nutritional risk, develops and monitors nutrition care plans, evaluates patient responses, and collaborates with healthcare team members. Responsible for supervising data collection and providing nutrition education to patients and staff. Ensures all assignments are completed effectively, with proper orientation and training provided to new personnel.
