Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing high-quality respiratory care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilatory management, patient assessment, and specialized procedures. The therapist will evaluate patient needs, administer treatments, operate various ventilatory equipment, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires a dedicated professional prepared to work night shifts within a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist (registered) license, minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory care, certification in BLS and ACLS, minimum education requirement of a diploma or associate degree in respiratory therapy, location in the United States, and at least 1 year of relevant experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory care and advanced airway management is a plus
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Respiratory therapists are responsible for operating ventilatory equipment, performing arterial punctures, assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy, managing tracheostomy care, and participating in emergency resuscitations following BLS and ACLS protocols. The role includes accurate documentation of treatments, patient monitoring, and communicating effectively during shift handovers. Responsibilities may also include performing pulmonary function tests and assisting with laboratory-related procedures when required.
