Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Richland, Washington. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients within a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and other pediatric and adult units. The role requires flexibility to float between departments and adhere to unit-specific protocols and procedures.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Washington state license, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. No minimum experience specified (0 years minimum).
  • Additional Information: Must have Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience and Level 2 adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience, with NICU III or IV level experience being a hard stop requirement. Candidate should be capable of assisting with high-risk deliveries, ventilator management, and neonatal respiratory procedures. Able to float among units is required, and all staff are considered VAR (Variable) for the unit. Flexibility to work holidays is expected.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as needed.
  • Travel Experience Required: None specified.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Unit Details: The daily census consists of approximately 300 patients, including neonates and pediatrics. Interdisciplinary support teams are available.
