Description
Job Summary:
The Richmond, Virginia-based healthcare provider is seeking a CT Technologist for a busy freestanding Emergency Room. The role involves providing advanced imaging services, including computed tomography (CT) scans, in a high-acuity setting. The position offers an active clinical environment with opportunities to work independently and utilize state-of-the-art equipment to support patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications required include CPR, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), and ARRT-CT. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting and possess a Virginia license or a Compact license at the time of submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently covering both CT and X-ray modalities, strong communication skills, and experience in acute stroke scenarios. Moderate pediatric volume experience is preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 12-bed freestanding Emergency Room with high patient flow, averaging 80 patients daily and experiencing winter surge volumes exceeding 100. The facility is equipped with GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable x-ray machines, utilizing Meditech and Sectra documentation systems. The environment emphasizes teamwork, excellent patient experience scores, and the use of new technology. The shift includes rotating weekends and holidays, with no on-call requirement.
