Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-ray technology is sought for a position within a healthcare organization in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves performing a variety of imaging exams on diverse patient populations, including adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric patients. The position requires technical proficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment efficiently.

Job Details:

  • Position: X-ray Technologist
  • Location: Madison, WI
  • Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 0730 1800, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Saturday rotation every 5-6 weeks. Holiday and standby call may be required based on operational needs. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 0 years of experience, certification in ARRT R (Radiographer), BLS, Wisconsin state licensure.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Level I and II trauma experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT R, BLS, State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer, Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Skills: Abdomen decubitus, abdomen supine (KUB), abdomen upright, AC joints, adult acute care, bedside/portable procedures, C-Arm procedures, contrast enema, various trauma and pediatric imaging procedures, radiation safety, and operation of advanced imaging equipment such as GE, Philips, Siemens systems.
  • Additional Information:
    • Perform a wide variety of imaging exams across multiple patient age groups.
    • Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and participate in quality assurance activities.
    • Bring knowledge of physical restrictions and pathology to quickly adapt imaging techniques.
    • Pass/Fail testing including a telemetry exam with strict criteria is required prior to start. Two attempts allowed, with the possibility of submitting additional certification if needed.
    • Location-specific details include parking permit requirements and transportation options.
    • Temporarily, no local candidates are accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and have at least two years of recent acute care experience in the relevant field.
