Job Summary:
The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Ultrasound Technologist position is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves performing complex maternal-fetal ultrasound procedures, including detailed anatomical evaluations, fetal echocardiograms, growth assessments, and fetal wellbeing examinations. The technologist will assist in invasive procedures, provide training to residents, and produce comprehensive diagnostic images under the supervision of radiologists or obstetricians.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
• Required Qualifications: Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography / General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program; minimum of three (3) years of experience performing complex obstetric, gynecological, or vascular scans; Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification; ARDMS Registered in OB and OB GYN.

• Additional Information: Performs essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations such as detailed anatomical evaluations, fetal echocardiogram, growth assessments, fetal wellbeing evaluations, needle procedure guidance, transvaginal cervical assessment, advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques, Doppler imaging, and assessments of maternal pelvic anatomy. Assists with invasive procedures, analyzes sonography findings, and provides preliminary results to the interpreting physician.
