Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) for Skilled Nursing Facility in Houston, Texas. This position involves evaluating and providing rehabilitative services to patients with cognitive and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) functioning disorders. The occupational therapist will develop individualized care plans, administer clinical interventions, and collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapist license, at least 1 year of OT experience including long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings, Texas state license, and at least 1 year of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation environment (if applicable).
  • Additional Information: The role includes screening and evaluating patients, implementing treatment plans, administering procedures such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and supporting devices. The occupational therapist will assess patient progress, modify treatments, and document all clinical activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Participation in team meetings, trainings, and supervision of therapy assistants or students is required. The position adheres to all applicable practice acts, ethical standards, and professional conduct.
