Description

Job Summary:
The Boston location is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the organization on a night shift schedule. The role involves preparing and positioning patients for MRI exams, selecting appropriate pulse sequences, evaluating image quality, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires independent work in a fast-paced environment, and candidates must be ARRT certified with at least two years of related experience.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Exact days to be determined.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified as an ARRT Technologist, must have BLS certification from the American Heart Association, with at least 2 years of related work experience in MRI.
  • Essential Responsibilities:
    • Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures.
    • Selects pulse sequences appropriate for each scan and records parameters used.
    • Evaluates images for quality and completeness, manipulating images as necessary.
    • Sends images to PACS system and verifies exam completion.
    • Communicates with patients to explain procedures and address concerns.
    • Initiates intravenous lines for contrast-enhanced MRI exams, monitors patient for reactions.
    • Maintains accurate records and participates in teaching and continuing education activities.
  • Additional Information:
    • No local travel required; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
    • The role involves working in a high-speed environment requiring independent operational skills.
    • Availability for interview on dates and times provided at submission is necessary.
    • RTO requests must be presented at the time of application.
    • Candidates who have worked at any affiliated facilities within the last six months are ineligible.
