Job Summary:
Hillsborough, North Carolina This position for a X-ray Technologist entails demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of general diagnostic radiology and adhering to departmental protocols and policies. The role involves performing quality imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, verifying patient identity, and effectively utilizing PACS and RIS systems to manage imaging data, with a focus on maintaining clinical standards and operational efficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program; ARRT Certification in Radiography; must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Demonstrates proficiency in portable imaging; experience in operating in the operating room and with C-ARM imaging is a plus. The role involves verification of patient identity and pregnancy status prior to administration of ionizing radiation, assessing patient conditions, and reacting to emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
