Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Denver, Colorado. This inpatient role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to adult patients across various hospital departments. The position supports emergency response, ventilator management, arterial blood gases, and patient transport for critically ill patients, ensuring high-quality respiratory services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (AHA); Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC; minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 1 trauma or acute care setting preferred.
- Additional Information: Provides all respiratory modalities in all hospital areas, including medication delivery, emergency response, intubation assistance, ventilator management (both invasive and non-invasive), arterial blood gases, pulmonary hygiene, hyperinflation therapy, patient transport, and home oxygen assessment. The candidate must be able to assist with intubation as needed.
- Shift & Scheduling: The candidate must be willing to assist with potentially being the only respiratory therapist in-house and available for every other weekend or more if willing.
- Charting System: EPIC.
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in House: Always available.
- Cancellation Policy: The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
- Dress Code: Black pants with wine-colored top.
- RT Equipment: 980 ventilator / V60 ventilator.
- Start Date: 08/31/2026.
