Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a CT Technologist in Detroit, MI. This position involves performing computerized tomography (CT) radiological procedures on patients, including general diagnostic radiology examinations and complex sterile procedures. The role requires explaining procedures to patients, preparing the examination room, analyzing clinical data, administering intravenous contrast media, and ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed to deliver high-quality imaging.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days and Midnight shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with weekend rotations required every other weekend. No block scheduling.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT); BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in CT scan operation, patient preparation, clinical data review, radiation protection principles, PACS image management, and radiology information system (RIS) study indexing; must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or be registry-eligible.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: The position involves working potentially in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit, with exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment, and requires adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols. Physical demands may include lifting and moving equipment or patients in excess of 10 pounds. All candidates must maintain required continuing medical education hours.
