Job Summary:
An Ultrasonographer General position is available at a healthcare facility in MONTROSE, Colorado. This role involves operating sonographic equipment, performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, and communicating results to the radiologist. The position supports clinical assessment, image analysis, patient safety, and departmental operational responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with weekends and on-call duties.
• Required Qualifications: ARDMS certification; preferred one year of experience but not mandatory; knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy; excellent communication and organizational skills; BLS certification.
• Position Overview: Operates sonographic equipment, conducts diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, vascular, small parts, ob-gyn, vascular, and interventional exams. Uses independent judgment to differentiate normal from pathological findings and prepares reports for radiologists. Ensures patient safety and comfort, effectively communicates with patients and the healthcare team, and maintains ultrasound equipment and department supplies.
• Additional Responsibilities: Assists with daily ultrasound department operations, completes exam tracking and billing, helps train new sonographers and physicians, coordinates with staff for patient care, reports equipment failures, participates in laboratory accreditation, and monitors unread studies.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds, with patient handling potentially involving up to fifty (50) pounds; standing for extended periods; fine motor skills; visual acuity.
