Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position is based in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing respiratory therapy services to a diverse patient population in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple units including NICU, PICU, adult acute, and critical care, supporting a comprehensive care environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM)
• Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Number of Openings: 1
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification is required; ACLS and NRP are preferred; minimum of 0 years of experience; location in Portland, Maine
• Call Requirements: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift
• Float: Float rotation may be required including NICU, PICU, and adult acute and critical care units
• Personality Fit: Flexible, team player, excellent communication skills
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided or flexible
• Equipment: Vents include Drager V500, VN500, Hamilton T1, C1, respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
• Person on the Unit: Varies, covering entire facility with a team of 14-16 Respiratory Therapists. Patient ratios vary with 1:25 for acute and 1:8 for critical care.
• Additional Information: Requires experience in tertiary, teaching hospital environments, with a focus on NICU and PICU settings.
