Job Summary:

A CT Technologist position is available in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing computed tomography procedures, utilizing established scan protocols, and administering contrast media as needed. The technologist will work collaboratively within a healthcare team to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduated from an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completed an accredited CNMT program; CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry or date of hire; at least 2 years of experience; PA ARRT Certificate; Basic Life Support (BLS); PA Act 31; PA Act 33; PA Act 34; PA Act 73.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment to adjust protocols and apply ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes. Demonstrates proper venipuncture technique, use of power injector, and administers contrast media following department policies. Communicates effectively with patients and co-workers, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Properly identifies patients, reviews histories, and documents procedures according to departmental protocols. Ensures exams are accurately coded, networked, and billed as per standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
