Description

Job Summary:
CT Technologist in a healthcare facility located in an unspecified location. This position involves producing computerized tomography (CT) scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established protocols and under medical supervision. The role includes assisting radiologists with procedures, supervising student radiologic technologists, and maintaining excellent patient and customer relations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 13 weeks; Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with shared call rotation coverage of 2-3 shifts every 6 weeks.
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals preferred. Successful completion of an accredited Computed Tomography (CT) Program preferred. One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred. Licensure/Certification: Registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); or current RSFH teammate with a high school diploma or GED and a permanent certification in Radiography from SCRQSA. ARRT registered in CT preferred. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce diagnostic images. Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and handling equipment up to 50 lbs. Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and risk of radiation is possible. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to operate standard office and imaging equipment. The position may require work under stressful conditions, irregular hours, and participation in call and weekend/holiday shifts.
