Description
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located within a healthcare organization providing short-term acute care services and level III trauma care. This role involves performing computed tomography (CT) scans in a busy hospital setting, primarily during weekday night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. The position requires versatility across different units and the ability to operate advanced imaging equipment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ARRT CT and ARRT R, BLS certification; valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission); at least 1 year of experience in CT technology; knowledge of Epic charting system; experience with adult acute, outpatient, and trauma patient care; proficiency in various advanced imaging procedures including 3D rendering, virtual colonography, PET CT, and vascular CTA; and familiarity with radiation safety protocols.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers, experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and management/lead experience.
- Special Requirements: This position entails performing both CT and X-ray procedures, often alone after midnight, and requires the ability to work independently during night hours. Candidates must be flexible to work holiday shifts and have the ability to float between units as needed.
- Additional Information: No on-call or weekend coverage is required. Requires the ability to commit to working three out of five designated holidays, with all specific scheduling requests to be submitted upfront. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience and be able to submit two references covering the last three years.
