Job Summary:
Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in Home Health services in the Wausau area. This contract position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment providing clinical care to adult and geriatric populations with various orthopedic, neurological, and mobility diagnoses. The role involves evaluating, treating, and planning patient care according to Physical Therapy standards, while maintaining documentation and meeting regulatory guidelines.
Job Details:
- Position: Physical Therapist (PT) Home Health
- Location: Wausau area, with potential assistance in Antigo, Rhinelander, Merrill, Stanley, Medford, and surrounding locations
- Schedule: 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, starting 09/08/2026 through 12/05/2026
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, licensure required for the State of Wisconsin, NPI (National Provider Identifier) required or in process, minimum of 0 years of experience in home health working with adult and geriatric populations, proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems and documentation requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Home health experience, training working with adult/geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, and mobility diagnoses
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, rotating one Saturday every 6-8 weeks, no holiday work required
- Additional Information:
- The role includes travel within a 50-mile radius of the primary location, with mileage reimbursed at government-approved rates.
- Candidates should be adaptable, resilient, and able to manage change effectively, with strong social skills.
- Equipment needed includes a laptop for documentation, cell phone for GPS and communication, and access to NetSmart Electronic Medical Records.
- The position is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; travelers may be called back during this period with additional pay.
- No guaranteed GSA hours during orientation week.
