Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) - Nights Located in Missoula, Montana. This role involves providing respiratory support across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations in a hospital-wide setting. The position supports a trauma level III trauma center and offers opportunities to work with advanced ventilators and airway management protocols. The assignment duration is from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RRT license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications, and active MT Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Minimum 0 years of experience required, preferably with proficiency in invasive and noninvasive ventilation, airway management, ABG sampling, and emergency response. NICU experience and familiarity with Drager ventilators and high-frequency oscillators are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience (Level III or higher), experience with Drager ventilators, familiarity with Cerner documentation, neonatal and pediatric ventilation competence.
- Additional Information: This role involves integrating into the clinical team, participating in rounds, responding to codes, and managing ventilators independently. Orientation lasts approximately 2-3 shifts. The department uses tiered workload assignment based on patient acuity and device use.
