Description
Job Summary:
Radiology (Computed Tomography - CT) Technologist position in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing CT scans with and without contrast in an acute care setting, primarily focusing on emergent and inpatient imaging. The technologist will be responsible for maintaining clinical excellence and adhering to department standards, while supporting a rotating schedule across multiple campuses.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, Wednesday and Thursday 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus possible call responsibilities. Call rotation occurs every 6th week with varied hours including evenings and weekends.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified CT Technologist (ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with CT endorsement), Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license, minimum of 2 years of experience, and the ability to start IVs. Candidates must also provide a copy of their drivers license matching their legal name on government-issued ID.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency and inpatient settings, familiarity with MEDITECH and Fuji Electronic Medical Records and Picture Archiving and Communication System, and competence in operating GE scanners including a 16-slice and 64-slice models.
- Additional Information:
- Candidates may be required to precept and are expected to adhere to department policies, including a strict call-out policy.
- Shifts may be canceled up to 4 times in a 13-week period.
- Scrubs required are black, with no department-provided attire.
- The department will provide a radiation dosimetry badge and orientation specific to department protocols.
- Must have the ability to respond to calls within 30 minutes and maintain flexibility for weekend and holiday coverage.
- The role involves performing an average of 16 to 24 scans per day using three GE scanners.
- The start date for this assignment is 09/07/2026, with an expected end date of 11/30/2026.
