Description
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located in an acute care setting, specializing in computed tomography (CT) imaging. The role involves working in a fast-paced department that performs a variety of imaging procedures on adult, geriatric, and some pediatric patients. The technician will be responsible for operating Siemens CT scanners and providing high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift with shifts varying between 9, 10, and 12 hours; start times vary by shift, with cyclic scheduling managed by supervisors.
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (Computed Tomography) certification, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience; location requirements and education requirements are satisfied.
- Preferred Qualifications: X-ray and MRI experience for day shift; CT/X-ray experience for night shift; experience with EMR systems (EPIC) and PACS (McKesson).
- Float: Float rotation may be required to X-ray and MRI departments during overnight and day shifts, respectively.
- Additional Information:
- Candidates must adhere to the radius rule of 50 miles and cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facilities associated with the organization, including those linked to CommonSpirit, CHI, and Dignity.
- Landauer radiation badges will be supplied, and a driver's license will be required at submission to verify distance from the facility.
- Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in patient care departments; refusal to comply may result in contract termination.
- RTO (Return To Office) requests must be made upfront for 7 days or less within the 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved.
- The department is very fast-paced, requiring personnel to be self-motivated, responsible, compassionate, and adaptable to challenges.
- Orientation period of approximately 3 days.
- Response to weekend and weeknight call is required, with weekly rotation expectations.
