Description
Job Summary:
The EEG Technologist (Registered) position is located in the area and involves performing electrophysiological testing such as electroencephalograms (EEGs), evoked potentials, autonomic studies, and nerve conduction studies. The role requires responsible patient preparation, data acquisition, equipment troubleshooting, and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team. The position includes on-call responsibilities and offers an opportunity to support patient care in inpatient settings while working independently.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings, 8-hour shifts, with shifts scheduled on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and on Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of an associate's degree in Applied Science or related science; current certification in Basic Life Support; current registration or certification as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, Clinical Neurophysiology Technologist graduate, or current student CNT; EEG or CLTM registry required.
- Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated skills in neurodiagnostic procedural testing, electrode application using 10-20 or 10-10 systems, monitoring EEG recordings, troubleshooting equipment, supporting SPECT injections, and responding to seizures; strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities; ability to work independently and adapt rapidly; supporting patients in various inpatient settings including epilepsy monitoring units.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neurodiagnostic testing and mentoring student technologists.
- Additional Information: The role involves acting as a liaison between nurses and physicians to ensure cohesive patient care, mentoring rotating student technologists, and maintaining high standards for patient safety and data quality.
