Description

Job Summary
Pediatric Dietitian Days, Monday through Friday block schedule. This position involves providing specialized nutritional care for pediatric patients, including assessments, developing medical nutrition therapy plans, and counseling patients and their families. The role requires pediatric dietetics experience and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting.

Job Details

  • Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a block schedule including various daily activities such as outpatient clinics, inpatient assessments, medical rounds, and nutrition counseling.
  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field, completion of required coursework, Dietetic Internship, and successful passing of the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam. Licensure as a Dietitian and registration with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics are required. Experience in pediatric nutrition and patient care with complex diagnoses, including outpatient and inpatient populations, is necessary. Two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients, including those requiring nutritional support such as TPN and tube feeds, familiarity with electronic medical records systems, and community hospital experience.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing nutritional status, developing care plans, providing education and counseling, documenting in electronic medical records, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds. The position may involve coverage of inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations with complex medical needs. Floating to different units within scope may be required until the specified date.
