Job Summary

MRI Technologist position available in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing advanced MRI imaging services in a stroke center setting during night shifts. The position requires working solo as an MRI Technologist with support from MRI Assistants and other clinical team members, and includes orientation and weekend rotation components.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 36 hours per week, with a scheduled start date of 09/14/2026 and end date of 12/12/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI. BLS certification. One year of MRI experience minimum, with experience in acute or outpatient settings. Valid medical license if applicable.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient types including stroke, internal auditory canal (IAC), pituitary, feet, abdomen, brains, total spines, defecography, urograms, and enterography.
  • Additional Information: The MRI Technologist will be responsible for setting up suction, operating oxygen, understanding MRI safety protocols, handling critical/ventilated patients (ICU RN and RT will accompany), placing patients on MRI telemetry, administering contrast, and ensuring patient safety. Soft skills such as critical thinking, punctuality, and comfort caring for confused patients are essential. The position includes orientation with one week of days and one week of nights for night shifts, along with support from a lead MRI Tech conference during the day and offsite radiologist reading. The role involves solo work during night shifts.
