Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a hospital setting. This position involves providing pediatric respiratory care through routine therapies, ventilator management, emergency response, patient education, and equipment maintenance. The role requires working night shifts, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly, and includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program, Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certificate from the National Board for Respiratory Care, AHA Provider Level BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care is preferred
• Additional Information: Performs routine and emergency therapies to assess, monitor, and treat pediatric patients' cardiopulmonary status. Manages invasive and non-invasive ventilation, educates patients and families, and participates in community health education. Demonstrates competence with ventilator setup, troubleshooting, and disinfection protocols. Responds to emergent situations per American Heart Association guidelines and assists with resuscitation efforts. Transports critically ill pediatric patients within the hospital and supports developmentally appropriate care. Engages in ongoing self-development and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
