Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a hospital setting. This position involves providing respiratory care to pediatric patients with various respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, respiratory failure, burns, strokes, and traumas. The role requires flexibility to float throughout different hospital departments, and candidates with pediatric critical care experience are preferred.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license; BLS and ACLS certifications are required, NRP preferred; RRT certification is preferred but CRT will be considered with manager approval; diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; 1 year of experience in adult critical care or pediatric respiratory care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level I Trauma; familiarity with adult critical care procedures such as inhaled epoprostenol, intubation assist, bedside bronchoscopy/tracheostomy assist, oxygen therapy, high flow oxygen therapy, aerosol treatment via SVN/aerogen/MDI, ABGs; pediatric respiratory care experience preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required throughout the hospital.
• Additional Information: Orientation begins with a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) session on Day 1, followed by additional training on Days 2-5 depending on comfort level. The schedule is posted 4 weeks in advance and includes holiday shifts. Scrub color is Ceil Blue with black bottoms; free parking is available.
