Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient (PHARM IP) for a hospital setting in the specified location. This role involves managing pharmacy operations within the inpatient department, including compounding, dispensing, drug monitoring, and providing medication information to healthcare professionals. The position supports compliance with regulatory standards and ensures safe and effective medication therapy management.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm, 4 days a week, totaling 40 hours per week. Work includes occasional weekend shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy; current California Pharmacist License; 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; EPIC experience and Pyxis is required; ability to interface courteously with hospital staff and public; demonstrates emotional maturity, self-awareness, integrity, good judgment, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Preferred Qualifications: Residency training is preferred.
• Additional Information: Performs drug protocol documentation, contacts physicians and nurses regarding medication orders, maintains computerized record systems, manages controlled substances compliant with legal requirements, monitors drug therapy safety and efficacy, and supervises support staff handling routine duties like medication compounding and dispensing. This role may involve performing other duties and innovations as assigned.
