Description
Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist position in an acute care setting. This role involves performing a variety of nuclear medicine scans, including Cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, and thyroid uptake, with an average of 12-15 studies per day. The technologist will work primarily dayshift with rotating weekends and call requirements. The position requires at least two years of experience and certification in nuclear medicine technology.
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and call responsibilities. Call is scheduled one day per week when not on weekend call, with weekend coverage every 4th weekend (Friday at 4:30 pm to 7 am, Saturday and Sunday 24-hour coverage).
- Required Qualifications: ARRT or NMTCB certification, WV State Licensure, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology, experience with IV starts and EKGs.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Department operates with 4 scanner/rooms utilizing Siemens E-cam and Philips Brightview equipment. The department uses Meditech Expanse as the Electronic Medical Record system and AGFA IMPAX for PACS. The radiology staff includes Lead Techs, with radiologists in-house. The technologist must provide a valid driver's license and comply with department dress code, which requires black scrubs without embroidery. No radiology assistants are utilized in this setting.
