Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location

South Charleston, West Virginia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Rotating weekends
Rotating call

Required Qualifications

BLS certification
ARRT or NMTCB certification
West Virginia state licensure
Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) verification
Experience in nuclear medicine
Ability to start IVs
EKG skills
Unexpired driver’s license copy must be included with submission

Job Details

Day shift
40 hours per week
No self-scheduling
No floating to other areas
Department orientation provided

Clinical Focus

Cardiac studies
HIDA scans
Gastric emptying studies
Lung scans
Thyroid uptake studies
Tilt studies

Work Environment

4 scanners/rooms
Average volume: 12–15 scans/studies per day
In-house radiologist
Lead tech support available

Additional Notes

Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
Scrubs are not provided
Black scrubs required
No embroidery
No T-shirts
Scrub jacket required if warmth is needed
No Crocs with holes or backs out

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
