Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General position available in an acute care setting within a healthcare organization. The role involves performing various ultrasound examinations, including general ultrasound, obstetric, small parts, and vascular ultrasound (upper and lower venous and arterial). The position requires working on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026 and ending on 12/07/2026. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and possess relevant certifications and licenses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (shifts may include 6-6, 7-7, 8-8), working two days followed by three days off, with occasional longer shifts.
• Required Qualifications: ARDMS certification in general ultrasound, BLS certification, WV license, and WV CARES prior to start. Experience with arterial extremity Doppler is required. Must have ARDMS and/or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification. Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience; first-time travelers accepted.
• Additional Information: The department has three ultrasound rooms using Siemens S2000 equipment. EMR used is Community Works, and PACS is Intellirad/Intelliconnect. No radiology assistants are used. Radiologist coverage is available from 2 am to 6 am via on-call Vrad. No in-house radiologist after 5 pm. The department does not have float requirements. Scrubs may be any clean, professional color; staff typically wear emerald green if matching is preferred. Orientation includes five shifts with a preceptor. Cancellation policy allows for two shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.
