Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Savannah, GA. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires managing vented patients, administering heliox therapy, and utilizing advanced neonatal ventilation techniques in a fast-paced pediatric critical care environment.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provide respiratory therapies, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, on a 12-hour night shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist Registered, at least 1 year of Neonatal or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) critical care experience, and current PALS certification. Education requirements include a valid Respiratory Therapist credential.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Independently admit and manage ventilated patients, set up and administer heliox therapy, and utilize neonatal respiratory equipment such as Bubble CPAP and high-frequency ventilators. Maintain unit-specific policies and guidelines, and demonstrate proficiency with equipment such as Servo U ventilator, Heliox therapy, and Nitric Oxide administration.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced neonatal ventilation techniques and familiarity with non-invasive ventilation strategies including BiPAP and CPAP.
