Polysomnographer (Sleep Tech) Galveston, TX.
This position involves performing advanced technical skills in comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, evaluation, and treatment of sleep disorders at a healthcare facility. The role supports diagnostic and therapeutic services, as well as patient education, under limited supervision.
Job Details
- Position Description: Conducts advanced technical procedures for sleep disorder diagnostics and treatments, including polysomnography and patient education.
- Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Polysomnography program or equivalent, 2+ years of experience, certification in Basic Life Support (AHA), and registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT). Works in a healthcare setting with experience in sleep technology.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, rotating 5-week schedule: Monday to Wednesday 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m., Thursday to Saturday 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
- Additional Information: The role involves the use of specialized equipment such as Sentec TCCO2, Compumedics sleep software, Nihon Kohden systems, and Epic electronic medical record. Orientation sessions are scheduled virtually on August 31st and September 14th with online Epic training.
