Job Summary:
The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer position located at the Anschutz Medical Campus involves providing specialized ultrasound imaging for pediatric patients with congenital or acquired heart conditions. The role requires performing comprehensive cardiac sonography exams in a busy academic medical center, supporting diagnosis and treatment planning. The assignment spans 13 weeks, offering an opportunity to work with advanced imaging systems and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic pediatric environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Primary placement at the main campus, with potential coverage at North, South, Uptown, and Wheatridge campuses within a system of care.
• Schedule: 8-hour days, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with additional details as follows: 5x8s with variable start times (7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM if on call); weeknight call coverage from 5:30 PM 7:00 AM; weekend shifts may be required from 8:00 AM 4:30 PM; option to work 4x10s during weeks with approved requested time off.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of a cardiac sonographer program; ARDMS PE or CCI RCCS certification; minimum of 2 years experience as a pediatric cardiac sonographer; recent experience in a large pediatric academic medical center; proficiency in scanning complex congenital heart disease and surgically repaired congenital heart defects; reliable vehicle for travel between care sites; experience completing full measurements and writing comprehensive reports; experience with GE and Philips ultrasound machines.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Syngo Dynamics reporting system.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have experience with full measurements and report writing, as demonstrated in work history comments.
  • Must be considered a new traveler.
  • Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within a 35-mile radius of the originally assigned facility, unless otherwise agreed.
  • No RTO (Request for Time Off) is approved within the first two weeks of the assignment.
  • Completed exemption requests for seasonal influenza vaccination are permitted and must accompany submissions.
