Job Summary
Mammographer, Mammography - Massachusetts
This position involves performing mammographic exams and procedures to detect breast abnormalities and breast cancer, ensuring safety and compliance with MQSA standards. The role includes operating mammographic and stereotactic equipment, maintaining quality assurance, and providing patient care throughout the imaging process.
Job Details
- Certifications: Currently performing 3D mammography, active Massachusetts State license for Radiology and Mammography, certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and BLS certification.
- Education: High school graduate or GED, graduate of a JCERT Accredited Radiography Program.
- Location Requirements: Massachusetts.
- Years of Experience: 0.0 years minimum.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Additional Information:
- Performs diagnostic mammographic and stereotactic procedures, safely operating equipment, and adjusting controls for optimal image quality.
- Ensures proper patient identification, documents QA procedures, and maintains accurate radiology records.
- Conducts DEXA scans for spine, hip, and forearm as needed, following clinical history and quality control protocols.
- Participates in continuing education to meet American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Massachusetts State Licensing requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of policies, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Provides excellent patient service, ensuring comfort and confidentiality at all times.
- Completes mandatory training in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and Digital Mammography.
- Performs data management, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities diligently.
