Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General in the Radiology Department This role involves performing general, obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN), and vascular ultrasounds at a healthcare facility. The position requires delivering high-quality imaging and procedural support in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient care and technical excellence.
Job Details
- Certifications: ARDMS (General or OB-GYN), BLS (American Heart Association); Minimum Education Requirements: Not specified; Location Requirements: Not specified; Years of Experience: 2 years minimum.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, variable days between 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with 1-2 nights per week call and every third weekend.
- Responsibilities include conducting general, obstetrics, gynecology, and vascular ultrasounds, procedures, drains, and biopsies, averaging 8-10 scans per day.
- Department uses Fuji PACS software and Philips radiology equipment.
- No float rotation is required; radiology in-house radiologists are available except on call.
- No IV starts necessary for this position.
- Department maintains specific orientation protocols and cancellation policies.
