Job Summary
Dietitian Pediatrics Days The organization is seeking a qualified pediatric dietitian to join their team for a 20-week contract, starting September 28, 2026. This role involves providing nutrition care and counseling to pediatric patients within an outpatient and inpatient setting, focusing on weight management, GI disorders, and early infant nutrition. The position offers a collaborative environment and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a complex clinical setting.
Job Details
- Position: Pediatric Dietitian
- Location: The healthcare providers pediatric outpatient and inpatient services
- Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Healthy Living Academy/HLA Clinic, Tuesday - outpatient GI clinic, Wednesday - group classes, Thursday and Friday - assessments and admissions)
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; completion of required coursework, Dietetic Internship, and successful passing of the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam; MD Dietitian licensure; Registration with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics; minimum of 2 years of pediatric dietetics experience; experience with complex diagnoses, including TPN patients, GI issues, and post-trauma care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a childrens hospital or similar setting, with knowledge of enteral nutrition, therapeutic diet orders, and pediatric rehabilitation. Previous experience charting in Meditech and working with inpatient pediatric populations is desirable.
- Additional Information: The position involves assessing patients nutritional status, developing medical nutrition therapy care plans, providing education, documenting in the electronic medical record, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The candidate must be comfortable floating within scope if required, work as part of a team, and participate in all required clinical duties.
- Holidays: Required as scheduled.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must meet all onboarding and compliance requirements prior to start date.
