Job Summary
Xray Technologist in [Location] The organization is seeking a qualified X-ray Technologist to perform radiological (X-ray) imaging procedures under close to moderate supervision. This role involves preparing and performing diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and accurately uploading results into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) systems.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with possible schedule fluctuations such as 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM to meet operational needs
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science; Registration as Radiological Technologist from American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists; Good understanding of human anatomy; Experience reading and interpreting radiology orders; Certifications: RT-R required; Experience with PACS strongly preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with EPIC; Certification and experience in PACS
• Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and performs radiological imaging
  • Reads and comprehends imaging orders, engaging with physicians as needed
  • Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters based on knowledge of human anatomy
  • Interviews patients to understand risk factors requiring in-depth examination for safety
  • Guides patients through examinations with subject matter expertise and cultural competency, including distressed patients, explaining procedures and setting expectations
  • Uploads imaging results into PACS and records relevant information into EMR systems
• Schedule: Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be eligible and qualified as specified
