Job Details
- Position: Mammographer
- Location: Ada, Oklahoma
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Qualifications: ARRT (R)(M) certification, BLS from American Heart Association, graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program, 1+ year of experience in mammography, valid licensure appropriate for the position
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Responsibilities:
- Consistently observe and ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures.
- Operate equipment safely, report malfunctions immediately, and understand emergency and radiation safety procedures.
- Accurately enter and verify data from physician orders and computer systems.
- Schedule patient procedures appropriately and follow departmental protocols.
- Assist radiologists with special procedures, needle localizations, and biopsies.
- Maintain quality control standards and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Greet patients, explain procedures thoroughly, and perform procedures efficiently.
- Transport patients, specimens, and films as needed.
- Maintain flexible scheduling and work in any department area as required.
- Question patients for relevant medical history, including pregnancy or nursing status.
- Effectively prepare and stock rooms, check equipment, and ensure clean working conditions.
- Submit accurate charge sheets and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Required Certifications: BLS from AHA, ARRT(R)(M); must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and have 1+ years of experience in mammography.
