Inpatient Physical Therapist (PT IP) position in a healthcare facility, providing specialized therapy services to acute, rehabilitative, and sub-acute patient populations. The role involves working both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on patients with diverse conditions such as spinal cord injuries, strokes, and brain injuries, among others.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS Certification; valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Education Requirements: No specific degree required beyond licensure.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must be qualified to work at inpatient or outpatient settings as required.
• Years of Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include working in general inpatient, rehab, OR sub-acute, and outpatient clinics, covering a variety of patient diagnoses such as orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, and lymphedema.
• Candidates must be prepared to work some weekends and holidays, participating in a rotation with permanent staff.
• Inpatient coverage may include general medical, surgical, bariatrics, ICU, and cardiac units.
• Outpatient coverage involves working in clinics focused on orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, pediatrics, and lymphedema programs.
• Orientation consists of three shifts, with responsibilities including swallow studies and specialized therapy services, with preferred experience in swallow therapy for occupational therapy.
• This role may require coverage of various units and locations depending on department needs, including inpatient general and rehab units, and outpatient clinics.
• The hospital may cancel up to four shifts within a 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter assignments.
