Job Details
- Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
- Location: Not specified.
- Certifications/Education/Experience: BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC; minimum two years of experience in a large (300+ beds) critical care facility.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 1830-0700, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Shift Notes: Nights.
- Department Notes: Uses AARC point system for treatments (~26-28 points), caring for general med, intermediate, and ICU patients.
- Equipment: Servo U, Servo i, LTV ventilators; ResMed S9, Fisher Paykel heated high flow devices.
- Leadership: Presence of a Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead on each shift, serving as a resource but not taking assignments.
- In-House Medical Staff: Hospitalist and Intensivist available 24/7.
- Orientation: First 12 hours include EPIC training, vent review, IPV, and specialty review; subsequent days with a preceptor.
- Additional Requirements: Active IL license or confirmation of application process, experienced in large critical care facilities, no floating in respiratory therapy, no call required.
