Job Summary
The organization is seeking a General Ultrasonographer for a radiology department position. This role involves performing a variety of ultrasound scans, including thyroid, abdominal, and pelvic studies, utilizing advanced imaging equipment within an acute care setting. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse patient cases, adhering to established clinical protocols and standards.
Job Details
- Position Description: Radiology - Ultrasonographer General. Responsible for conducting general ultrasound exams such as thyroid, abdomen, and pelvis, with an average of 6-8 scans per day.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen (RDMS-AB) via ARDMS, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast (RDMS-BR) via ARDMS. Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Department utilizes Philips Epiq imaging systems, with two scanners/rooms, and employs Epic electronic medical record software. The role includes one weekend shift every other week, with on-call requirements of one 12-hour shift weekly and a 24-hour call every other weekend. No cross-department coverage or IV starting required. No onsite radiology assistants or radiologist coverage outside of standard hours.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit licensure for review and certification documentation as specified.
