Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position in Highlands-Cashiers, North Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments within a rehab-focused hospital unit. The selected candidate will evaluate and treat hospital-admitted patients with a strong rehabilitation mindset, primarily working Monday through Friday during day shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid occupational therapy state license, BLS certification, 1 year of relevant experience, willingness to work at least 40 hours per week, and ability to evaluate and treat inpatient hospital patients with a rehab focus
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments in a hospital setting, proficiency with Cerner documentation system, and ability to work independently within a rehab environment
- Float: Willing to float to Eckerd Living Center if needed (located in the same building)
- Additional Information:
- Unit is a critical care access hospital with predominantly swing bed patients and a rehab focus
- Staffing includes approximately two CNAs per shift and 20 hours per week of tech support in rehab
- All lift equipment available, with a large rehab gym featuring various equipment and an outdoor therapy area
- New rehab gym includes fully functioning kitchen and laundry setup, with opportunities for outdoor therapy sessions
- Dress Code: Scrubs (no specific color)
