Job Details

• Position Description: Under the direction of department management, demonstrates advanced knowledge in respiratory care, including airway management, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and respiratory procedures.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, and ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical and technical information. Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist is preferred; minimum of 1 year required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Core Skills and Responsibilities: Provides respiratory care including aerosol medications, pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, arterial punctures, and airway management. May also perform advanced procedures like UAC, UVC, IV insertions, chest tube insertions, and blood glucose monitoring when working with specialized protocols. May manage extracorporeal circulation and ventilator settings, monitor patient progress, and assist with weaning.
• Additional Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively, analyze clinical data, and perform problem-solving tasks. May be required to work on-call during nights, weekends, and holidays.
