Description
Job Summary
Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist in a specialty unit involving electrophysiology procedures. This position supports physicians in diagnostic and treatment procedures utilizing complex radiology equipment, with a focus on patient care across a diverse age range within an acute care environment. The role involves preparing examination areas, positioning patients, and assisting with procedures, including arteriograms and other specialized radiologic interventions.
Job Details
- Schedule: 10-hour days with call, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience; active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The unit has 11 employees, including 4 electrophysiologists. There are 2 procedure rooms, with approximately 5-10 procedures performed daily depending on scheduled cases. The department operates Monday through Friday, with Saturday call from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. rotating among staff. The RN to technician ratio is 6:5. The shift includes 10-hour days with call and is located in a level 1 trauma setting. Certification in BLS is required. The position is scheduled to start on 09/28/2026 and end on 12/28/2026.
