Description

Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo position based in the area. This role involves performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, specifically transthoracic echocardiography, to evaluate internal organs and vessels for diagnostic purposes. The technician will prepare examination rooms, obtain patient consent and history, explain procedures, and assess patient needs to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging. Additionally, responsibilities include coordinating exam documentation, ensuring equipment safety, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Days of the week will vary. On call one week every 4-5 weeks.
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registry is required, with candidates required to obtain registry within 18 months of hire. BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree preferred.
  • Additional Skills: Time management and workflow prioritization, collaboration with nurses and multidisciplinary teams, patient identification and safety, adult transthoracic echocardiography, quality and reliability.
  • Required Skills & Experience: Contrast administration competency, protocol selection, exam prioritization, accurate measurements and calculations, transthoracic echocardiography, attention to detail.
  • Start Date: 10/12/2026
  • End Date: 01/09/2027
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Experience: 1 year of relevant experience needed, but no minimum experience required explicitly.
