Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo for a healthcare facility in a rotating shift position. This role involves performing diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures, including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stress echo, and peripheral vascular studies. The Ultrasonographer will provide immediate feedback with preliminary results to physicians, assisting in complex cardiovascular procedures to ensure patient safety and accurate diagnoses. The position requires independently managing procedures, documenting findings, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support clinical operations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound or Cardiac Ultrasound certification program; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); BLS certification; ability to work independently; ability to utilize critical thinking skills; ability to communicate effectively with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare staff; ability to serve in on-call rotation after regular hours; six (6) months of related experience.

- Additional Information: Demonstrates proper technique and efficiency in performing advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound procedures; reviews pertinent patient data; operates necessary equipment and ancillary devices; exercises appropriate judgment in notifying abnormal results; maintains proper documentation and accurately documents all procedural data; collaborates to maintain departmental efficiency; anticipates equipment and supply needs; supports quality assurance and education activities; maintains current competency and registry; participates in QA and accreditation processes; practices infection control; promotes safety; maintains confidentiality; collaborates effectively with all healthcare team members; works directly with patients and internal customers.
