Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in a short-term acute care facility. This role primarily involves providing respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients, with responsibilities including airway management, ventilator support, and emergency response. The position offers a dynamic clinical environment requiring adaptability across various pediatric and adult units.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington state license as a Respiratory Therapist, at least 2 years of relevant experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Registry of Respiratory Therapists (NRT) credential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric and adolescent patient populations; familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) charting systems; previous experience providing respiratory care in a trauma or pediatric intensive care setting.
- Additional Information: The role may require float between units, including pediatric and adult units, with expectations to respond to emergency procedures such as rapid response and code blue situations. The assignment begins on 10/05/2026 and ends on 01/04/2027. Candidates must be flexible to work scheduled holidays and adhere to unit-specific procedures. A comprehensive orientation of 36 hours will be provided prior to start.
