Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo in a healthcare facility. This position involves performing a variety of transthoracic, exercise stress, dobutamine echocardiogram, carotid, venous, and arterial studies within the laboratory setting. The role requires optimizing imaging modalities to produce comprehensive tests that meet organizational standards, performing quality exams for physician interpretation, and maintaining accurate patient and test data.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Education: RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) registered. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred. Training & Experience: Prefer one-year experience but not mandatory. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Additional Information: The Ultrasonographer Echo will be responsible for preparing preliminary study interpretations, assisting physicians during transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures, maintaining equipment, ensuring proper disinfection of TEE probes, and supporting departmental functions. The role involves patient interaction, including explaining procedures and positioning patients appropriately, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
