Job Summary:
MRI Technologist MRI This opportunity involves operating and preparing specialized magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce diagnostic images. The role requires applying technical judgment to ensure studies meet quality standards and adhere to written protocols, all while providing excellent patient care in a high-quality healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Requires a graduate of a JCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) approved school of radiologic technology.
• Certifications and Licensure: New York State License (Licensed Radiologic Technologist) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified).
• Skills needed include a strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, MRI physics, and physiology.
• Preferred qualifications include two (2) years of MRI experience.
• Performs MRI imaging procedures, patient positioning, and coil placement to optimize image quality.
• Provides patient education on the procedures, reviews safety questionnaires, and ensures images are labeled and transmitted appropriately.
• Maintains cleanliness of the MRI room and equipment, scans patient-related documents, and maintains supplies required for procedures.
• Accurately records patient tracking information and schedules exams into the Radiology Information System.
• Reports any equipment issues or unsafe conditions and assists physicians directly when needed.
• Performs clerical duties in support of operational needs, adheres to safety protocols, and maintains licensure and certifications.
• Attends educational in-services and maintains compliance with infection control and safety standards.
