Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technician (Sonographer) - General and Vascular role is based in a healthcare facility in Steven's Point, Wisconsin. This position involves performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures within a single-staffed department, serving an average of eight scheduled patients per day plus emergency room add-ons. The role requires collaboration with a dedicated team to deliver quality imaging services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The shift begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:30 PM.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certifications in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Breast & OB/GYN, and Vascular Technology (RVT); BLS (American Heart Association or ARC certifications); Associate Degree or Certificate from an accredited program by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; One or more years of Ultrasound Technician experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic Charting experience is highly preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required across campuses and/or units.
  • Additional Information: The facility observes holidays including New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times consistent with facility policy, with no exceptions. The department sees general and vascular patients, with patient volume averaging eight scheduled patients daily plus emergent cases. Scrub colors are flexible.
